Bechamel Sauce


Ingredient for 6 serving

1. unsalted butter 3 tablespoon or 45g (may be replaced with olive oil)
2. all purpose flour 3 tablespoon or 45g
3. milk 3 cups(maybe replaced with unsweetened soy milk which I used in the demo)
4. salt and pepper to taste
5. a dash of nutmeg powder

Steps


1. Heat the butter over medium heat until foaming

2. Add the flour and whisk constantly

3. This is how it looks after 1 min


4. Whisk in warm milk, 1/2 cup at a time

5. Bring it to a boil and turn down the heat

6. Add the salt, pepper and nutmeg powder. Keep whisking for another 8-10 min till it turns creamy

7. Pour into a bowl for it to cool slightly


It can now be used for lagsana or other cooking
